    Hi Lori,

This is great advice. Offering people value is the best thing I ever did for my business. The more you give, the more you receive!

    Thanks MaryKay for your comment!

Very true Lori. For some reason it's difficult to get out of self and into selfless discussions and I've been guilty of it myself. I think we all go through times where we struggle to know how to write for others or create content for them, rather than what we like. Thank you for sharing this vid!

After hosting networking events for a few years it is great to know that other people understand thee principals too! Lol

Too many people throw up all over you and expect business. My philosophy is just keep asking questions until either one I get enough info to get them connected with someone who can increase their income or in their ideal referral, or until they genuinely seem interested in what I do.

The faster I can help someone make the money that my service costs the faster I totally eliminate a potential stalling objection.

    Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.

    Have a great day!

Lori you are so right. Let others see the value and let them develop a relationship. They'll come to know, like and trust you. Thanks

Hi lori ain't that the Truth no one Cares about your business until they feel connected and valued first.

I like the line lead follow or get out of the way. Leaders in any business are leading by example from the front not pushing from the back- those who are not comfortable in this role hang off the coat tails until they are ready to fly-

    Continued success in your ad-ventures

Cheers Kiaran from mostly Sunny Perth!

    Lori,
I started in business 20+ years ago…and still can remember talking to people until their eyes glazed over… <laugh> I think that comes along with the initial excitement we have about a business or products…and it takes a while to understand that not everybody is going to be our customer or business partner… I'm sitting here cringing when I recall how I first started in business! But, just as you say, when you do it the right way, your business grows. Great reminder!

    Best,
    Robin

  • lorirobertson7

Hey Joe, you are correct, no one has any objections when they are making money.

  • lorirobertson7

Bill, it's all about the value.

  • lorirobertson7

Kiaran, I like that line too, thanks for stopping by and sharing your comment, please stop by again.

Robin, I know what you mean, I used to want to break it all down to people until I realized that they were not paying me any attention LOL!

    Hey Lori,

You are right on point!!! When you come from a place of genuine desire to help someone else and provide value, that's where your true success will come from.

Great video. Make it a Great Day! Laura

Especially now more than ever, ADDED value is key. If there's no initial value then theres nothing to talk about in the first place, but additional value will get people talking and coming back for more!

    Great Stuff!

    Hi Lori,

You are so right! I ask people, “Why would I do business with you, if I don't know you?” I can't stand it when people lead with their opportunity. I just want to hide from them. You definitely lead with value and that is most appreciated.

Katie is a wonderful example! Thanks for sharing this message!

Hello Lori – this is a good tip whether you are a network marketer or just a networker. In fact it is one that I teach in my networking classes. You are right – no one cares about the details – what are the benefits? How can you help someone see, touch and feel the benefits your customers see, touch and feel? Everyone in business needs to figure that out to achieve a high level of networking.

  • lorirobertson7

Thanks Laura glad you enjoyed the video.

  • lorirobertson7

    I agree Dewane!

  • lorirobertson7

Nancy, thanks I appreciate it and yes I do love Katie she is awesome.

  • lorirobertson7

Mark, glad you are teaching this so many people need to know that the more they give others the more they give themselves. Thanks

Lead with Value. That is what Mike Klingler said in the elevator to Rich and Natasha. It was a moment of Elevator Education.

So where is the value? You or your visitor? Got to keep your interactions in line with the value THEY perceive.. Nice post.

    Hi Lori,

Nice blog. I enjoyed your success tip.

This is why I started my blog because it shows the value
I have to offer. It doesn't matter what opportunity I have
to offer, it is the blue print to success that I have to offer.

Like you said, give more, offer value and the tips that I offer
    on my blog is VALUE.

I agree with you said about Facebook, it is all about offering what
they have and not about what they can do to help you.

    Thanks for the value.

    Tommy D.

    Lori,
You sure get it and say it like it is. Great job! Yes, giving away value to our new friends is so much better than throwing up on them and the results will be so much better for everyone.
It is also a lot of fun to give away valuable stuff for free and to take the time to focus on them and how you can help them. It feels so good to give and not expect immediate reciprocity.
Thanks for giving it to us straight – the problem and the solution!
    Dawn and Dave

  • lorirobertson7

    LOL, thanks Nelson

  • lorirobertson7

Thanks Jim I appreciate you stopping by.

  • lorirobertson7

Thanks Tommy glad you enjoyed the video and that is what it is all about “VALUE” the more you give away the more you get to keep.

  • lorirobertson7

Dawn and Dave, I have learned that from you guys, you offer so much value and I like to follow in the footsteps of greatness. Thanks for stopping by.

    Hi Lori,

Thank you for sharing this useful tip. Whatever business you are in it is always about the value the we can give. The thing that I love about this industry is that the only way you can succeed is by making friends. Thanks for adding value!

    Always balancing,

    Rafael

    Hello Lori,
Thanks for the wonderful video and what you say is right on. I too get people throwing up on myself as well and it just reminds me so much of how you don’t want to go about building this business.

As you say, its all about offering some type of value and letting go of ones own agenda and helping and educating first. Keep up the great work and I’ll see you at the top!

Wishing you all my best :)

Larry, glad you enjoyed the video and I agree with you it’s not about us it’s about the people that we help and serve.

    Hi Lori,
This is a great post. I think that some of the negative reactions we get from people about our industry overall and our specific businesses could be lessened if more people learned this lesson. I think good leaders lead by example and are brave enough to tell their teams not to do this. The people who are attracted to the spam, are not quality people and will probably not stick around. The easy path is for leaders to just keep signing people up and hoping that they can figure things out for themselves. Big thinkers and true leaders realize that the people they share their business with need real, forward-thinking, practical training to represent themselves, their business and the industry well. That is a responsibility we all share. Thanks for posting this, Allegra

Allegra, I believe the more value you share and the more people you help, the rewards are greater. Always trying to get the next person instead of giving to the next person will be the downfall of many. Thanks for sharing your comment.
