I Am So Tired Of Failing I Am Ready To Quit!

by Lori on January 26, 2011

I am so tired of failing I am ready to quit! I got a call from someone yesterday after they read my post on “Why Do People Quit And Give Up So Easily” and said those exact words. I felt really bad for this person and I truly understood why they felt that way, so after about 15 minutes or so of just trying to be uplifting and sharing some stories of my feeling that way from time to time. I told them that I had ran across a video on Facebook that I posted on my wall and just had to share this video because it has the perfect message for the people who quit and give up and they should check it out.  So here it is:

WOW! Michael Jordan just summed it all up. We all may have wanted to give up and quit at one point in our lives, it’s normal. Don’t beat yourself up! You can NEVER be a success at anything until you fail and sometimes it is over and over and over again. But the key to the failure is to get back up and keep trying until you succeed.  NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES!

We all have had failures in our lives but the people who come out on top are the people who refuse to give up and give in just because it did not work the first few times.

Look how long it took Thomas Edison to get that light bulb right or how many times did Michael Jordan tell you he missed a shot?

Staying in the game and never ever quitting is what a true leader and a super doer does. Being a soldier of prosperity is hard but a the end of the day, it’s all YOUR prosperity and it is worth it.

When you do feel like quitting and giving up, try one more time, then another, then another and soon those failures will turn into triumph for you!!!!!

    Excellent advice Lori!

And that’s exactly it. If you fail, pick yourself up, brush yourself off and try again because that next try just might be “the one” :) You can only truly fail if you quit – bottom line!

    Laura,

I wish more people get that and understand that you have control over what you get out of life my how much effort you put into it.

    Thanks

Love the video! We need to hear this over and over again…and over….
Yes, really that much. It’s just too easy to give in sometimes. That’s why our goals need to be truly aligned with what our heart wants. It makes all the effort worth it.

A brilliant article Lori! Giving up is just not an option, is it! But wanting to at times gives us that option to look up and see how far we’ve come – gives us that measuring stick! Blessings, Loren

    Thanks Loren,
As long as we keeping trying the results will always follow.

    Thanks Teresa,

I have played it everyday since I heard it, the more you realize failure is part of the process the more you will embrace it.

It’s so important to stay focused! Choose a company and stick with it. Too often so many jump from one opportunity to another because it’s not happening as fast as they think it should. Choose carefully and stay committed!
    Thanks for the great article.
    Blessings to you!

Greetings Lori, thanks so much for this post. That’s not only an excellent video, but you have some kind words that spoke to me as well. See, I’m trying to kick a bad habit called ‘smoking’ right now. I appreciate the encouraging words. God Bless, CBiz

    Thanks for sharing Lori;

This is an excellent article my friend; and I love that video. Michael Jordan was one of the hardest working and most dedicated basketball players ever, and it Always showed in each game he played.

I’ve heard it said and I believe it; that Failure is the back door to success. Walt Disney went broke seven times and had a nervous breakdown before he became successful. At age 40, Henry Ford was broke. Enrico Caruso, who became one of the world’s greatest tenors, was advised by his voice teacher to quit singing because he failed so many times to carry his high notes. Thomas Edison failed more than 6,000 times before he could get an electric light bulb to work, but when a child, one of his teachers once called him a dunce; and the list could go on and on. Thanks again for sharing Lori

Excellent short video from Jordan. Really hits the point doesn’t it! Success is nothing more than failing many times! In the past I wanted to quit many times but I kept on pushing through.

I found that if I told people about my goals and dreams then I’d be much less likely to give up.

One of the downsides to telling people was that they laughed at me! just made me stronger,

    Thanks
    Gavin

Great post Lori. You are right and I love the video of Micheal Jordan. We must always get back up. It’s through our failures and trials that we grow the most. It really took me a long time to learn that lesson. Thank you so much for the great reminder.

You are welcome Julie, so many people quit too soon and when they see people who excelled in their life’s purpose I hope it is a reminder to them that they too can accomplish great things if they do not quit.
