How To Dramatically Boost Your Brand With 1 Strategy & In 5 Simple Steps

We all know that when creating an online presence we need to try to be everywhere at once – that’s how “buzz” is created.

The thing is… most people struggle with the ACT of “getting out there” and creating that social “buzz” around their personal brand – and I blame it on one of two reasons:

1.
Most people don’t wanna put in the work, or..

2.
There simply aren’t many people talking about PRACTICAL ways of getting this done.

Obviously I can’t help those who don’t want to put forth the effort, but for those who do – here’s a simple, but powerful way to share value with people, become well known, attract new potential prospects & build your personal brand a lot faster.

The Very Powerful Strategy Is Guest Blogging

Yes.. exactly what I’m doing right now is the strategy you need to start implementing if you want to build your brand, increase business exposure and create a massive audience of people who know, like and trust you.

Now.. most bloggers (..EXCLUDING Lori & I, of course) would leave you hanging right about now, and not give you a game plan of exactly HOW to get this done… – but lucky for you – I’m not like most bloggers..

Here’s The Guest Blogging Gameplan In 5 Simple Steps

Step #1. Make sure everything is right at home
– No, no.. not your real home, Your ONLINE home. You need to make sure you’re providing the best content you can create on your OWN blog first.

The reason for this is more than obvious – Who would want to have YOU as a guest blogger if you’re providing really crappy stuff to your OWN readers? – makes sense, right?

Step #2. Write The Darn Thing BEFORE The Pitch – A mistake I’ll never make again. You need to write the best piece of content you’ve ever created to really make this work. So you gotta make sure you have TIME for editing and to make it perfect.

Think about it.. this is gonna be published on someone else’s blog, and will be read by their readers who have probably never heard of you. First impressions are everything. You gotta make it count!

Step #3. Sell Yourself – At the bottom of your guest blog post make sure to include a brief description of who you are, what you do, and a link to your blog. This will ensure people who like your stuff, actually become loyal readers.

Step #4. Work Your Way Up – Everyone has dreams of being promoted by a top online GURU in their industry – they think, “If only ‘so-n-so’ promoted by product, or recommended my blog, I’d be SET for life”. HA!!

This type of thinking will only guarantee that you MISS the tremendous opportunity out there in the marketplace. Start small, connect with the up and coming bloggers, and then use the experience as leverage for the BIG FISHES down the road. Remember, BIG-time bloggers were once SMALL-timers.

Step #5. Promote It Like CRAZY!! – There are so many reasons why you would wanna do this. But.. here are the obvious ones:

  • You’ll gain a lot more exposure
  • You’ll attract more loyal readers
  • You’ll make the blog owner happy, and of course..
  • Increase the chances of getting another guest appearance on their blog

    Hi Hector,

Great points here, thanks for sharing.

I'd add that you should comment like crazy on other blogs. This is how I've received most of my quest post invites. Network with fellow bloggers by providing thoughtful and insightful comments. If you impress them they're more likely to offer you a guest spot.

This is a great point. Its funny it reminds me of the recent episode of the show “THE OFFICE” where Ryan makes a site called woof. When he woofs his computer goes crazy because the woof is sent to every social networking site. He also gets a phone call from it.

    Ryan..

Definitely bro – that's a great alternative, since every blogger reads all of their comments, you can easily slip that in there and just say that you're open to a guest post relationship –

that's how this one happened :0)

Rebecca, my goal is to have one at least once a month, so go for it, it will be new traffic to your blog and to the guest blogger as well.
