Do You Know Your True Potential

by Lori on February 8, 2010

Do you know your true potential? Most of us don’t! The reason is that we have not allowed ourselves to tap into it. You make be asking how can I tap into something that I may not know I have and if I have it what is it?

Each one of us has been blessed with the gift of true potential and it is our responsibility to find out what that is and to share it with the world. So many of us have capabilities beyond what we see on the surface and we just see what is and not what could be.

We all have a burning desire that was placed within in us, whether it is to sing, to write, to act, to play a professional sport, to own our own business, we each have something inside of us that is waiting to emerge. It was not placed there to just stifle out it is there because it starts you on the process of finding out what your true potential is and to work each day until it is realized.

The passion that I wake up each day with in my business drives me to learn more about my industry and how I can apply it to my business to make it better and to make the lives of others better. As I start to learn and apply it my potential starts to manifest, take shape and puts me in a position to do great things. The same thing can happen to you.

You must learn that when you get that desire, that yearning urging you to do something, do not to question it just do it. Start today right where you stand and just start to apply whatever it is that will put you on the right path.

If you still do not know what your true potential is, just stop and think of what you really want and work at it the very best that you can, put all of your effort into and eventually you will start to see what that potential is and people will start to notice it as well.

It all starts with personal development. How many people work on themselves? Not many! The reason is that they do not know that they should or even how to do it. The best way is to start reading books on how to be a better YOU! It may take some time to do it, but you have to invest into YOU! Read at least 15-30 minutes a day to develop YOU! Get training to make yourself better in your industry, take the time to really focus on being the best person you can be and helping others. If you do this your TRUE potential start to soar!

One of my mentors – Myles Munroe – says we should all seek to “Die Empty”. Discovering your true potential and/or purpose means finding out what you were designed for – and sharing it!

Working towards leaving this world empty is what I want I strive for!

    Have a DYNAMITE Day!

Lori I really enjoyed reading this post. Most us don't know what our true potential is, and the one that do didn't find out overnight. For some it takes time.

You hit the nail on the head with personal development. We truly need to invest in ourselves in order to bring our potential to fruition. I have found that some people are excited about developing themselves while others don't see the value. I think your post will help others see yet another reason to consider personal development.

    Hey Wes,

I heard a similar quote, “Live full, die empty.”

    Great stuff Lori.

I've personally made it my mission to work on me just as much as I work on my business. I know for a fact that I can't be successful in the state that I'm in even though I have the talents, skills and desire. I must continue to make me better.

    Keep up the good work.

I've learned there is a golden hour and that hour is the 1st hour upon awakening in the morning. This is the most fertile time for our mind to accept what we plant in it. Plant positive aspirations and creative imaginings of how we want to day to unfold.
