Some people start their online business with no real knowledge of what they need to be successful and they get frustrated when no leads, no customers or no sales come in.

They start to think that having a business online was a big mistake and they do not know where to turn.

Below is a list of the 3 must have tools to build your business:


1. Blog – A blog is as described in Wikipedia:

In essence it is a place to house your business, an online journal, a piece of online real estate if you will.  You need to have a place where your prospects, and customers, or business partners can find you.

A blog is a place where you share value about you, your product or service, sharing tutorials, how to’s, anything that will brand you and your business and when some one goes to Google looking for a particular topic in your niche and if you ranked they will find you.

This is one of the most important ways to build your business and your brand.

Keep in mind you can get a blog where you host it yourself or you can get on that is hosted by the platform that you choose.  The best type of blog is a viral blogging system that is hosted on wordpress.

2. Lead Capture Page – A lead capture page or landing page described in Wikipedia:

A lead capture page is something that you create to capture your prospects or customers, name, email address and phone number. This is a way for you to be able to share your information by directing them to a page that may consist of a presentation, a video, pdf, or may go to your business opportunity.  The goal is to get them to see something and purchase.

3. Auto-responder – An auto-responder described in Wikipedia:

An autoresponder is a computer program that automatically answers e-mail sent to it. They can be very simple or quite complex. Autoresponders are often used as e-mail marketing tools, to immediately provide information to their prospective customers and then follow-up with them at preset time intervals. An auto-responder is crucial to your business because this is how you build repoire with your prospects and customers that you have not personally met.  You get to show up in their email on a daily or weekly basis sharing value, having them get to know you and your business opportunity.

They may not have been ready to purchase when they first saw your business, so being able to follow up with them over time is a sure fire way to get them to trust you.  People buy from people who they know, like and trust and if you do it right you will have loyal prospects and customers that will turn into business partners.  This is a built in cash register for your business.
